The UP THERE x ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 'Natsukashii' (1203A869-021) is a collaboration between ASICS and Melbourne boutique UP THERE in the Gravel/Irvine colourway. Released globally on 11 October 2025, it marked UP THERE's 15th anniversary.

Overview

UP THERE has operated in Melbourne since 2010, and this is its fourth project with ASICS. The theme comes from 'natsukashii', a Japanese word for the warm, fond feeling of looking back on the past, and the design references ASICS archive releases.

The Up There Gel-Kayano 12.1 sets a grey mesh base against glossy olive green patent leather overlays, with an updated forefoot flex zone of mesh and fused accents. Red hits the tongue, and the green outsole carries a Signal Red rubber instep accent. The tooling comes from the Gel-Nimbus 17, with dual GEL technology and FLUIDRIDE cushioning. Green co-branded insoles and an upside-down UP THERE tag on the lateral heel finish it.
