ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 'PACE Cream Black' (2026)

The PACE x ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 'Cream Black' (1203B001-100) is a collaboration between ASICS and São Paulo label PACE on the Gel-Kayano 12.1 runner. Released on 6 March 2026, it is PACE's second ASICS project following their 2023 Gel-Quantum collaboration.

Overview

PACE was founded in 2017 by Felipe Matayoshi, and the label draws on his Brazilian and Japanese heritage. The ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 PACE Cream Black is built on a model descended from the 2005 Gel-Kayano 12, a max-stability trainer from the line named after designer Toshikazu Kayano.

The upper pairs a cream base and layered mesh with smooth and snakeskin-textured leather overlays and black accents. PACE branding appears on the lateral toe and tongue, ASICS stripes run along the side panels and GEL cushioning sits in the midsole.

The Cream/Black palette keeps the shoe easy to wear, while the textured overlays give it the collaboration's detail. It suits relaxed tailoring, wide denim and the current retro runner rotation.
